Mollymook Surf Life Saving Club

Mollymook is among the safest beaches in the world, through the efforts of educational instructors and the many volunteers who freely give their time to protect beachgoers.

To keep Mollymook north and south ends and Narrawallee beaches safe, Mollymook surf lifesavers patrol beaches from September to April. each year. NSW surf lifesavers from 128 patrolling clubs spend in excess of 270,000 voluntary hours patrolling and protecting 1,590 kilometres of coastline from Fingal Beach in the north to Pambula Beach in the south, averaging 2,109 hours per club.

Mollymook Lifesavers give an incredible. 5,621 patrol hours per year to keep our beaches safe. These hours don't include the many additional hours given to the 24hour/ 365 day Emergency Rescue Call Out Service, Management, Fundraising or Training and Education.

The objects of the Club are:
a) to study and practice the methods of surf life saving as taught by Surf Life Saving Australia;
b) to prevent loss of life by providing efficient beach patrols, rescue service and life saving apparatus;
c) to promote demonstrations and to arrange classes of instruction;
d) to obtain improved facilities for surfing;
e) to participate and pursue the highest standard in competition in accordance with the rules of Surf Life Saving Australia;
f) to encourage and promote the physical and social welfare of its Members;
g) to enforce observation of the Rules and By-laws of the Club and deal with any infringement of them.
