Mollymook
is among the safest beaches in the
world, through the efforts of
educational instructors and the many
volunteers who freely give their time
to protect beachgoers.
To keep Mollymook north and south ends
and Narrawallee beaches safe, Mollymook
surf lifesavers patrol beaches from
September to April. each year. NSW surf
lifesavers from 128 patrolling clubs
spend in excess of 270,000 voluntary
hours patrolling and protecting 1,590
kilometres of coastline from Fingal
Beach in the north to Pambula Beach in
the south, averaging 2,109 hours per
club.
Mollymook Lifesavers give an
incredible. 5,621 patrol hours per year
to keep our beaches safe. These hours
don't include the many additional hours
given to the 24hour/ 365 day Emergency
Rescue Call Out Service, Management,
Fundraising or Training and
Education.
The objects of the Club are:
a) to study and practice the
methods of surf life saving as taught
by Surf Life Saving Australia;
b) to prevent loss of life by providing
efficient beach patrols, rescue service
and life saving apparatus;
c) to promote demonstrations and to
arrange classes of instruction;
d) to obtain improved facilities for
surfing;
e) to participate and pursue the
highest standard in competition in
accordance with the rules of Surf Life
Saving Australia;
f) to encourage and promote the
physical and social welfare of its
Members;
g) to enforce observation of the Rules
and By-laws of the Club and deal with
any infringement of them.
