Advertised in Club Mail this week will be the opportunity for any club to be involved in the National RIP Current Awareness Day. This is the second event of this type, with numerous surf clubs around the country releasing dye into the surf to highlight the existence of rip currents. Surf lifesavers will also be on the beach to answer questions from the general public, and discuss the best ways to identify rip currents.
We would like as many clubs as possible to be involved in this community education event, so register your interest with Anna by emailing firstname.lastname@example.org by 14th November.
All equipment and information required will be provided to the club: instructions on the use of the dye, media releases, posters to advertise to public, etc.
So, get involved and let’s dye the state purple!
