How we handle your information

Our contact and venue hire forms ask for your name, email address and message. The venue hire form also asks for a phone number and the details of your event.

We use these details only to reply to you and to pass your enquiry to the right volunteer. The website emails your enquiry to the club through our email service, Resend, and keeps no copy of it. The club keeps the email for as long as it needs to deal with your enquiry.

Please don’t include medical, payment or other sensitive information.

To keep out spam, Cloudflare Turnstile checks that each form was sent by a person. It looks at technical details of your browser and connection, not at what you type.

Donations are processed by Stripe on the club’s behalf. You enter your card details on Stripe’s secure page, so the club and this website never see or store them.

Stripe collects your name, email address, card details and country. The club can see your name, email address, the amount and the date. It uses them to issue your receipt and keeps them in its financial records for as long as tax and charity law require.

Stripe emails your receipt. If you give monthly, Stripe’s donor portal lets you update your card or stop your donation at any time.

Stripe handles your information under Stripe’s privacy policy.

We count visits with Plausible Analytics to see which pages and buttons are used. It sets no cookies, does not identify you or follow you to other sites, and never receives what you type into our forms. Before a visit is counted, the website shortens your IP address, leaving enough for a rough location and a daily visitor count. Plausible stores this data in the European Union under its data policy.

Cloudflare hosts this website. It handles your IP address to deliver pages and protect the site from attack, and keeps short-lived technical logs, under Cloudflare’s privacy policy.

This website doesn’t use advertising or tracking cookies.

Our contact page shows a Google map. When it loads, Google receives your IP address and may set its own cookies, under Google’s privacy policy.

Memberships and Nippers registrations are made through Surf Life Saving’s online systems, not this website. Surf Life Saving Australia handles that information under the Surf Life Saving Australia privacy policy.

We share photos of club life on this website. If you would like a photo of you or your child removed, contact us and we will take it down.

Stripe, Cloudflare, Resend, Plausible and Google may store or process information outside Australia, including in the United States and the European Union. Resend handles enquiry emails under Resend’s privacy policy.

The club does not sell or rent your information.

You can ask what information the club holds about you, ask us to correct it or raise a concern through our contact form, or by writing to Mollymook Surf Life Saving Club, 83 Ocean Street, Mollymook NSW 2539. We aim to reply within 30 days.

If you are not satisfied with our reply, you can contact the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner.
